Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami Art Fairs Programming Schedule

Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami, two of the longest running and most progressive contemporary art fairs for the fine art industry during Miami Art Week, announced this year's five-day schedule of interactive programming, taking place December 1-5, 2021.

Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami will return to Wynwood Arts District this year, at Mana Wynwood Convention Center with the only Two Fairs Under One Roof, offering a world-class experience for both exhibitors and art enthusiasts during this year's Miami Art Week. Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami will cover more than 100,000 square feet of exhibition space, accessible for visitors on foot and by car, all within walking distance from Wynwood's trendiest restaurants, bars and retail boutiques.

'Following last year's hiatus by the entire industry, we are pleased to announce our highly anticipated homecoming with an exciting schedule of programming for this year's Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami,' says Eric Smith, president of Redwood Art Group. 'Both fairs will return with a vengeance inside the convention center at Mana Wynwood, offering exhibitors and attendees a truly world class experience. Our five-day lineup features an inspiring series of activations and live demonstrations among more than 200 exhibitors. The art world is returning stronger than ever and our growing group of exhibiting artists and galleries are keen to showcase their collections in all their brilliance, as art enthusiasts from around the world return to Miami Art Week in abundance, for a monumental celebration of life and emerging creativity.'

To mark commencement of the five-day global showcase in contemporary art, culture and entertainment, the annual Opening Night Preview Party takes place on Wednesday, December 1st, between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. and is presented by the fairs lead sponsors Pommery Champagne and Artsy. Hundreds of the world's most affluent art dealers, collectors, artists, gallery owners, curators and art enthusiasts attend the opening night extravaganza for Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami on an annual basis, to get a first look at the inspirational works by the more than 200 exhibiting artists and galleries from around the world. Enter the fairs through the convention center's Radisson RED Lobby, and experience Love Cubes — Violet Fusion, a special Monumental Sculpture by Hugo Diaz, emphasizing love, commitment, dedication, and being one with the world. Relax to meet friends in the Pommery Champagne Lounge throughout the week, to contemplate which works of art are a must-have purchase.

Spectrum Miami, now in its 11th year, is where contemporary meets extraordinary, featuring the works of more than 200 exhibiting galleries and artists, located adjacent to its sister fair, Red Dot Miami. Spectrum Miami presents special programs and site-specific exhibitions that showcase the thriving art landscape of the city by exhibitors from the Florida region, the U.S. and around the globe, informed by the 2021 curatorial theme [DOUBLE TAKE]. Art creates a deeper awareness of the experience of seeing. It asks the viewer to pay attention, slow down. It inspires viewers to look closer. Spectrum Miami showcases independent career artists, studios, and younger galleries that are pushing the boundaries in surprising and significant ways where inspiration is ignited. Known for its urban and upscale works of art, the five-day fair attracts more than 35,000 visitors and high-net-worth collectors who interact with the specially curated programming, while celebrating the fine art experience with music, entertainment and other special events.

This year's Spectrum Miami includes Art Labs, the Spotlight Program, Meet the Artists with Live Demonstrations and the Discoveries Collection. This year's Art Lab features SUPERGIRL WRITES POETRY presented by artist Shana Roark (Booth 509), who will write a poem for you on the spot. This year's Spotlight Program is a focused look at a curated group of exhibitors that are the most cutting-edge in their field, including Renata Cuellar (Booth 108), Renssen Gallery (Booth 302), Surfergirl Gallery (Booth 509), Jayson Fate Art (Booth 520), Lonell Nellessen (Booth S105), and Paul McDermott (Booth S619).

Do a [DOUBLE TAKE] when Spectrum's theme reminds us to look and then look again at the art, take measure of the artists' creativity, and be inspired by their newest works. The Meet the Artists program allows visitors to interact with the talent and watch some of them do live demonstrations. This year's artists who may become your favorites include B. Corey Johnson (Artblend, Booth 301), Charles Fazzino (Fazzino 3D Pop Art, Booth 418), Karin Brauns (Booth S205), Michael Alfano (Alfano Sculpture, Booth S304) and Rachel Tribble (Booth S507).

Look for the Art Lab: Discoveries Collection labels throughout the fair. Spectrum's Curatorial Team has selected a group of their favorite discoveries each one a great option at $3,000 or less. Of course, there are thousands of affordable pieces of world-class art and on-trend, highly collectible works from across the U.S. and around the world.
