Tampa Bay Automobile Museum Welcomes New Director
The Tampa Bay Automobile Museum is pleased to welcome Daniel
Carpenter as its new Director. Located in the Gateway Centre Business Park, the Tampa
Bay Automobile Museum features a unique collection of more than 80 vintage cars and
vehicles that demonstrate special creativity and innovation in their history and
engineering.
“I am honored and thrilled to bring my experience, skills, and passion for automotive
history to the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum,” said Daniel Carpenter, Museum
Director. “Thanks to Alain Cerf and the Cerf family’s unmatched dedication, knowledge,
and enthusiasm, the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum is an incredible resource for
automobile enthusiasts, residents, and visitors in the Tampa Bay region. Every vehicle
has a fascinating story and plays a distinctive role in a very special collection.”
Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Daniel has a B.A. in History from the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee and M.A. in Communication from the University of Tampa. His
career spans the public, private, and non-profit sectors, and he was most recently the
Museum Relations Manager at a lifestyle museum in Tampa.
“It has been a pleasure getting to know our dedicated members and staff, and engage
with visitors from our community, region, and state, as well as those from around the
country and across the world. I look forward to helping the Tampa Bay Automobile
Museum achieve its goals and fulfill its mission as we prepare for our 20th anniversary
next year.”
Since 2005, the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum has been more than just a collection
of cars; it is also a celebration of the engineers that, through advanced thinking, brought
us the car as we know it today. Museum galleries total more than 19,000 square feet and
feature cars from Czechoslovakia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, and the
United States that are both familiar and new to those who visit.
The Tampa Bay Automobile Museum is open Wednesday – Monday from 10:00 am –
