St. Petersburg Arts Alliance Invites Applications for 2024 Individual Artist Grants
The St. Petersburg Arts Alliance, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs and the Arts Advisory Committee, invites applicants for their Individual Artist Grant Program. Individual Artist Grants provide up to $5,000 for artist-driven projects that benefit the public and enrich St. Petersburg by advancing artistic excellence and increasing access to diverse arts experiences. These awards support the public engagement of individual artists and projects that further their careers by enhancing professional practice helping them grow and thrive.
The program is designed to support public engagement of individual artists in genres such as Visual/Craft Arts, Music, Theater, Literature, and more. Special focus will be given to projects aligning with equity, diversity, and inclusion values.

The Individual Artist Grant Program application deadline is August 21, 2024, at 5:00 pm.
Applications must be received via the online application form.
This opportunity is intended to provide financial assistance to artists who live or work in the City of St. Petersburg for specific projects. The program is designed to support public engagement of individual artists’ work/projects in various arts mediums and genres.
The applicant's materials must show commitment to the following values and objectives:
1. Creativity & Innovation: A unique approach to the applicant’s art form that is distinct from
others in their field and pushes boundaries.
2. Impact: The project will positively impact a specific community, the public, or the world.
3. Community Connection: The project involves collaborating or engaging with other artists, organizations, or community members in a way that fosters connectedness and belonging - particularly in terms of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
4. Personal Growth: This project will enable artists to grow and advance their artistic practice and/or career goals. This could include developing new skills, exploring new ideas or techniques, or taking risks in their work.
5. Feasibility: The budget and timeline for the project, as well as the artist’s relevant experience demonstrates that they can execute it successfully.
6. Completeness and clarity of the application.
7. Artistic Excellence: As demonstrated by work samples, professional resume (including any combination of education, artistic training, and level of achievement and/or evidence of
commitment to personal artistic development).
