With a remarkable career spanning over four decades, two-time Grammy winner and Tony Award-winning jazz vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater stands among the elite voices in jazz.

In her live performances, Bridgewater breathes fresh life into standards and boldly reinterprets jazz classics, embodying the roles of voyager, trailblazer, and dedicated steward of jazz tradition. She has collaborated with the iconic Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Big Band and shared the stage with jazz legends like Max Roach, Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, and Dizzy Gillespie. In 2017, she was honored with the NEA Jazz Masters Fellows Award.

For 23 years, Bridgewater hosted NPR’s acclaimed JazzSet with Dee Dee Bridgewater, bringing jazz into homes nationwide. She also serves as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for the Food & Agriculture Organization, supporting global initiatives to combat hunger and improve food security and nutrition.
