Featuring a selection of approximately thirty sculptures and paintings, Mark Dion and Alexis Rockman: Journey to Nature’s Underworld is a traveling exhibition that offers a comprehensive survey of 30 years of work by artists Mark Dion and Alexis Rockman. Journey to Nature’s Underworld delves into the artists’ powerful aesthetic approaches to confronting the ecological challenges of our time.

Both Dion and Rockman have long explored humanity’s fraught relationship with the natural world, critiquing the prevailing ideologies that shape our understanding of nature. Through their work, they highlight the environmental crises we face today, with Dion and Rockman being among the first artists to address—and even foresee—the profound ecological issues that have come to define the current century.
