North Beach Bandshell

The North Beach Bandshell is an open-air amphitheater in the heart of Miami Beach’s charming North Beach district. It is owned by the City of Miami Beach, and now operated by The Rhythm Foundation, a Miami Beach-based non-profit cultural organization. The Bandshell is an important and beloved work of Mid-Century Miami Modern (MiMo) architecture, designed by renowned local architect Norman Giller in 1961. In its original heyday, the unique structure hosted big band dance parties, roller skate nights, and various community events – even tapings of the nationally-broadcast Mike Douglas Show.
