Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida Unveils Spectacular 2023-2024 Season
Welcome to the highly anticipated new season of Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida! After an extraordinary 25th-anniversary celebration, Arts Ballet Theatre is thrilled to present a lineup that promises to be more captivating than ever. Under the visionary direction of recently awarded Ballet Master and Director, Vladimir Issaev, our company is set to deliver a series of dazzling performances featuring our talented troupe of 20 professional dancers, alongside esteemed guest artists and choreographers.
The season opens with a spellbinding mixed bill of neo-classical and classical repertoire in October. Prepare to be mesmerized by the grace of Yanis Pikieris' "Danzon" and the brilliance of Issaev's "Four Seasons." The highlight of the evening will be the world premiere of "Inspired by Love," a ballet inspired by the enchanting love letters exchanged between Manuela Saenz and the Liberator Simon Bolivar. Featuring the exquisite music of Aldemaro Romero and choreography by Vladimir Issaev, this piece promises to be a moving tribute to their extraordinary love story. Join us at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts to witness these extraordinary performances.
No season is complete without the beloved holiday classic, "The Nutcracker." We are thrilled to bring back this enchanting ballet with ten performances, including a special Sensory Inclusive presentation designed for a unique audience which will include pre-show activities and a quiet room to ensure a comfortable experience for all. Two additional performances will be dedicated to the public schools of Miami Dade and Broward Counties, spreading the joy of ballet to young hearts. The rest of the performances will be open to our loyal audiences who eagerly anticipate our magical production, accompanied by the enchanting score of Peter Illich Tchaikovsky.
In March 2024, "Le Papillon" will grace our stage once again. This charming ballet, set to the music of Offenbach, will transport you into a fairy tale world. With captivating sets and costumes, this production strikes a perfect balance between tragedy and comedy, creating a truly unique and memorable experience.
To close the season, we invite our audiences to join us for our traditional Spring Ballet Gala. This extraordinary evening will feature a unique and diverse repertoire, including Stravinsky's "Petrouchka," Webber's "Le Spectre de la Rose," and other ballets inspired by the legendary Diaghilev.
As we embark on this remarkable season, we continue to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of Artistic Director Vladimir Issaev. The Miami-Dade County Office of the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners has declared June 11, 2023, as Vladimir Issaev Day, honoring his significant contributions as an artistic director, choreographer, and ballet master. Furthermore, Maestro Vladimir Issaev has been invited to receive the prestigious "A Life for Dance Award" at the International Ballet Festival of Miami, a testament to his remarkable impact on the world of dance, both locally and internationally.
