Known for her cacophony of prints and colors, signature asymmetrical haircut, and famed parties at her real-life Pee-wee's Playhouse, Allee embraced her unique identity. Privately, however, she struggled with fitting into established gender and sexual norms. She buried herself in her work until true love from her partner Pridence, manifested her ultimate masterpiece—self-acceptance. Allee began filming her life in 1950s Detroit and never stopped. This film shows her wish for her "final art piece" to be someone compiling the trail she left behind, showcasing her journey and legacy.
