She specializes in Baroque music; opera, aesthetics, and visual culture; race and representation in music history pedagogy; and women and gender in music. Her talk will highlight several case studies from her forthcoming book, Race and Representation in the Music History Classroom: Leading Change through Pedagogy (Routledge, expected fall 2022).
