As part of PAMM Free Second Saturdays, explore how "art meets science" in partnership with the Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum of Science (Frost Science). Enjoy an afternoon of art making and activities inspired by the annual solar eclipse.
In addition to viewing the eclipse with special glasses, provided by PAMM and Frost Science, participate in the "Space, Sculpture, and Silhouette" art-making activity. Inspired by the sculptural lens of Mexican artist Carlos Amorales' Dark Mirror, play with the beauty of light and shadows. Explore, reflect, and investigate compositions of light and dark contrast within solar phenomena and sculptural artwork.
For the rest of the day, you can explore the galleries, grab a meal at Verde, or sit back and enjoy the breeze on the waterfront terrace.
As part of PAMM Free Second Saturdays, museum admission is free all day.
Art-making kits are available while supplies last. Art activities are from 11am–3pm.
