The Virginia Key Beach Park Trust has partnered with Barry University to collect goods for communities in need affected by hurricane Ian.

In honor of Barry’s mission and commitment to collaborative service, the university community will have the opportunity to contribute to two collection drives during the weeks leading to Founders’ Week.
Disaster Relief
To support some of the most vulnerable communities impacted by Hurricane Ian, Barry is partnering with Catholic Charities to provide food and cleaning supplies to families hit hard by the storm. Items you can donate include:
• Beans (dry or canned)
• Rice
• Cleaning supplies (new and unopened)
On Founders’ Day of Service, November 5, a group will deliver items to the Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice disaster recovery site in Bonita Springs, and to Jesus the Worker Parish in Fort Myers.
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami is also accepting monetary donations to support victims of Hurricane Ian in Florida and Hurricane Fiona in Puerto Rico. To donate: https://www.ccadm.org/
