During Harvest Festival Weekends Flamingo Gardens celebrates the arrival of fall in south Florida. Each Harvest Festival weekend will have a theme of its own and guests are encouraged to dress up to fit the week’s theme. Each weekend will also feature entertainment, fun activities, and specialty foods of fall.

Guests may also enjoy Masters of the Night: The True Story of Bats which will be on display in the Gallery at Flamingo Gardens through January 28, 2024. Often misunderstood as large, blind, squeaky, creatures who suck blood and get tangled in your hair, this exhibit debunks myths, and opens your eyes to the wonderous world of Bats. Learn how gentle bats really are and their many benefits to the environment through lifelike models, multisensory interactive displays, and environmentally realistic settings.

Harvest Festival Weekends Activities:

• October 7 & 8: Pirates Weekend. Music provided by DJ Digital Anarchy 11:00am-3:00pm, live interactive Pirate Encampment with fun family activities all day.
• October 14 & 15: Cirque de Flamingo Weekend. Entertainment provided by Florida Children’s Theatre Circus Spectacular 12pm – 3pm, interact and learn circus skills from the performers.
• October 21 & 22: Cowboys & Cowgirls Weekend. Live entertainment and lessons by the South Florida Cloggers 12:00pm-3pm and visit with a real cowboy from 11am-4pm.
• October 28 & 29: Halloween Party Weekend. Live music by Sekond Nature Band 12:00pm – 3:00pm and visit with some of Flamingo Gardens’ own not-too-spooky Animal Ambassadors from 10:30am – 2:30pm.
• Each weekend will also feature free Hayrides 10:30am – 4:30pm, Pony Rides & Farm Animal Encounters 11:00pm – 3pm, a Kids’ Costume Contest* each Saturday & Sunday at 1:00pm, Fall Photo Opportunities, Giant Board Game Favorites on the lawn & Candy Giveaways, also enjoy Specialty Fall Foods, such as corn on the cob and giant, topped baked potatoes, which will be available for purchase.

*On-site Registration will be required for each costume contest. Guests will vote for 2 People’s Choice Awards each day, one for girls and one for boys. Prizes will be a Gift Basket valued at $25. Halloween Weekend will also include an Over 18 Category with a gift card prize valued at $25.
