From Ragtime and Blues to Big Band and Bebop, Jazz has been a part of the African-American tradition for over 100 years. Join Melton Mustafa, Jr. for a FREE Jazz Band Workshop ideal for middle and high school students who want to hone their skills and learn first-hand from our music artist-in-residence. Bring your instruments including trumpets, trombones, saxophones, congos and bongos and jam alongside jazz artist, Melton Mustafa, Jr., who promises to bring down the house with All About Jazz.
Melton Mustafa Jr., is a two-time Grammy Nominated Educator, the Director of Bands at Florida Memorial University and conducts the Melton Mustafa Orchestra.
