National Chopin Piano Competition 50th Anniversary Gala Concert and Dinner
featuring pianists Kevin Kenner & Avery Gagliano
Experience an evening of extraordinary music as the Chopin Foundation of the U.S. celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the National Chopin Piano Competition with an exclusive Gala Concert and Dinner in collaboration with the Frost School of Music and Frost Music Live! Signature Series. The event will feature two remarkable pianists, Kevin Kenner, winner of the 1990 International Chopin Piano Competition, and Avery Gagliano, winner of the 2020 National Chopin Competition. Surprise guest musicians will join this stellar lineup!
For the first time ever, these two distinguished pianists will perform Mozart's Sonata in C Major as a duo. Gagliano's solo program includes selections by Chopin and Schumann. While Kenner will perform several pieces by Chopin with a quintet, including Andante spianato et Grande Polonaise Brillante.
Following the concert, an exclusive post-concert dinner will take place at the Hormel Music Innovation Stage. With only 100 seats available, this intimate gathering offers the perfect setting to celebrate alongside the artists and special guests.
This event is the Foundation's only public fundraiser, directly supporting the National Chopin Piano Competition and its mission to foster the next generation of American pianists. Don't miss out on an exceptional evening celebrating a half-century of achievements.
