THE FRANK GALLERY: BRUCE BEASLEY - IN PURSUIT OF FORM AND FEELING
Through July 8th
The exploration of shape is simultaneously physical and virtual in the gravity-free studio of sculptor Bruce Beasley. Through virtual reality technologies that record the spontaneous movements of his arms and hands, the artist creates and directs an unbridled flow of shapes just as a conductor conducts music. These captured forms are released from the interference of gravity and are suspended in virtual three dimensional space at the artist's will, enabling Beasley to move and intertwine gestures until some emotive resonance emerges from within the arrangement. More details here.
