Legendarygraffiti artist, Jozza is partnering with Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital to raise awareness o raise awareness and funds for Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation and to support the Hospital’s Art Therapy program.

As part of the launch of the partnership, Jozza joined Caitlin Stella, CEO of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital; Kip Hunter-Epstein and Joey Epstein, Chairs of the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Art Committee; and other team members from Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and the Art Committee; for a special event at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital on Friday, June 18th where the partnership was announced.

Jozza donated two extraordinary original pieces of artwork – “Catch the Love” and “The Daisy” to the Hospital. The two paintings are hung on the Hospital’s walls in the first floor Family Resource Center and on the 4th floor across from Daniella’s Atrium. In addition, Kip Hunter-Epstein and her husband, Joey Epstein graciously donated a third Jozza original painting– “Snoopy and Woodstock” to the Hospital, to be hung on the wall outside the Surgical Unit on the 2nd Floor.

Jozza will also be placing additional pieces of his artwork on a virtual auction platform, where he will be donating proceeds from all his paintings that are sold to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation in support of the Art Therapy program and the “Catch the Love” capital campaign. Jozza has a very personal connection to JDCH as his daughter had successful heart surgery at the Hospital in 2010.

JDCH’s “Catch the Love” campaign is a fundraising initiative that will raise $56,000,000 to fund a significant portion of the expansion project currently going on at the children’s hospital in Hollywood. Once complete, JDCH will feature additional surgical and medical capabilities, cutting edge technology, innovative programs, and more family resources.

Additionally, the newly formed JDCH Art Committee, co-chaired by Jozza and Kip Hunter Epstein and Joey Epstein, will support the Art Therapy program at the Hospital. Other members of the Art Committee include Ken Hendel, owner of Gallery Art; Lisa Burgess, owner of New River Fine Art; Robyn Vegas, Executive Director of Business for the Arts of Broward; and Adam Spiegel, partner with BDO (formally MBAF); and two Parent Volunteers - Italia Folleco and Elise Bloch.

Art therapy services at the pediatric facility use the creative and expressive capability of art to help support the social, psychological, emotional, developmental and physical needs of the children and families served. Art helps children cope with and adjust to their hospital experiences by providing them with a safe and developmentally appropriate way to express themselves. Jozza will be a guest instructor during several workshops at the hospital.
