In an era of rapid technological transformation, Rise of the Machines delves into the evolving synergy between humans and machines, reshaping the contemporary artist’s toolkit. No longer confined to traditional media, today’s artists embrace machines as collaborators—tools that expand human vision and unlock limitless potential in form, function, and thought. This exhibition reflects on the journey of machines from mere instruments to integral co-creators, pushing boundaries across digital art, robotics, artificial intelligence, and bioengineering.

Wynwood Walls is the largest outdoor street art museum in the world and serves as the epicenter of creativity for Miami’s arts district and is often referred to as “The Olympics of Street Art.” Curated by Jessica Goldman Srebnick, the museum continues to elevate the genre of street art with a rotating collection of murals & sculptures by more than 120 artists representing over 25 countries. Unveiling during Art Week, the Wynwood Walls will be adorned with new murals, sculptures and glass works by eight international artists Askew One (New Zealand); Bublegum (Spain); Carlos Mare (New York City); Digital DOES (The Netherlands); ELLE Street Art (New York City); Logan Hicks (New York City); Simon Berger (Switzerland) and Sophie Mess (United Kingdom).

Faena Art presents a memorable work by cross-disciplinary Native Alaskan artist Nicholas Galanin. This monumental, site-specific piece on the sands of Faena Beach, Seletega (run, see if people are coming/corre a ver si viene gente), will posit questions related to our collective responsibility in creating a responsible future, asking us to reflect on the balance of our interconnectedness. In addition to Galanin’s work, which spans ninety feet in length and thirty feet in height, Faena Art will present multidisciplinary artist Lyra Drake’s Faith in a Finite World, a work investigating the agency of “faith” in human belief through audiences’ engagement in dialogue with a divine feminine oracle at Faena Hotel Cathedral. The voice of this piece was created by Drake using a custom AI consciousness. Faena Art will also present a site-specific commissioned piece for the 2024 edition of No Vacancy, a juried art competition that supports and celebrates mainly local artists, in partnership with the City of Miami Beach. This includes a display of Reflections of Florida Wild from Miami-based artist Magnus Sodamin. All works will be open to the public throughout Miami Art Week.

A beacon of contemporary art in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District, French art gallery Lina Cerrone Gallery has four exhibitions on display during Art Week by a diverse group of contemporary artists: globally acclaimed photographer Bastien Soleil , known for his underwater photos; Korean illustrator Lee Gihun ; graffiti artist Sven ; and emerging local talent Patrick Penkwitt , whose prints feature famous figures such as Lionel Messi and LeBron James. The exhibitions are on display through December 31, with a special artist meet-and-greet and exhibition opening with Lee Gihun on December 3 from 6-9pm during Miami Art Week.

From December 4 to February 28, Arlo Wynwood , known for having immersive art experiences within its public spaces, will present a special exhibition at its third-floor gallery in partnership with British artist Chris Rivers. Serving as a 24/7 public art gallery, the exhibition, entitled Cosmos, will showcase the artist’s dedication to exploring the beauty and vastness of the cosmic system, the complexities and contradictions of the human condition, and the infinite possibilities of the universe. Curated by Jasmine Arakel, the exhibition features exuberant works in which the artist utilizes the materiality of paint to create images of otherworldly expanses and environments. Rivers often introduces soft light filters through layers of complementary tones, swelling with dramatic, saturated color before receding into the image. Upon closer inspection, these clouds are populated by minute details – flowers, insects, figures and other characters – scattered across the painted surface, offering a sense of scale to the abstract haze. Distinct rococo elements are also detectable, as curvilinear motifs fade in and out of the vibrant, bustling compositions. These works were previously on display at Pontone Gallery in New York City. On Wednesday, December 4, Arlo Wynwood will celebrate Rivers and his exhibit during an opening reception open to the public on Wednesday, December 4.

THE OFFICE MIA ART GALLERY is excited to present a solo exhibition by Jeremy Shockley during Art Basel Miami. Hailing from Travelers Rest, South Carolina, Jeremy's journey from psychology to managing Tom Sachs's studio in New York, followed by a return to painting after years working in carpentry and masonry, has shaped his unique artistic voice. Now based in Los Angeles, Jeremy’s oil paintings on linen blend magical realism with everyday scenes, creating captivating narratives.

The Craig Robins Collection in Miami comprises over 1,500 pieces of contemporary art and innovative design, and exhibited within the Dacra headquarters in the Miami Design District. The 2024-2025 exhibition of the Collection highlights the work of Kai Althoff (German, born 1966) and Jana Euler (German, born 1982), two artists whose drawings, paintings and sculptures engage with abject imagery, often presenting delirious or complex emotional landscapes in their figuration. Other highlights on display include recent acquisitions by Jill Mulleady, Mario Ayala, Karon Davis, Bony Ramirez, and Alteronce Gumby. Overall, more than three hundred works on view at Dacra present an expansive overview of figurative art from the last three decades, in tandem with Conceptualist masterpieces by John Baldessari, Joseph Beuys and Richard Tuttle, and design pieces by established favorites such as Jean Prouvé, Zaha Hadid, Ron Arad, Marc Newson, Maarten Baas and Samuel Ross.

Explore the deep interplay between love and strength in a captivating new exhibition. Beyond mere construction material, rebar becomes a potent metaphor for love—a foundational element that imbues our lives with resilience, unity, and enduring support. Inspired by themes from my poetry collection, Loving You in My Silence, this showcase, titled The Architecture of Love’s Bond: Silent Foundations, showcases a variety of artworks including mixed media on wood panels, metal prints, and canvas.

Point Comfort Art Fair + Show 2024 is a panoramic surround sound experience of ART, CONVERSATIONS, and Community. Our mantra for this year is "Ubuntu : I Am Because We Are". The African Bantu word 'ubuntu' means "humanity" but can also be translated as "I am because we are". In the immortal words of John Lewis, "We are one people, one family, the human family, and what affects one of us affects us all". In 2023, hate crimes in the U.S. rose to the highest level since the FBI began collecting that data in the early 1990s. In response to this social problem, we encourage our invited artists to embrace our theme with images of dignity towards the human condition. Beauty, a pop-up gallery featuring artwork by internationally known actor, director and writer Jordi Mollà (best known for his starring roles in Blow and Bad Boys II) will be housed on Lincoln Road through December 31. The gallery will showcase a range of Mollà’s works from 2020 to the present, featuring acrylics, charcoal and mixed media. Inspired by Miami’s vibrant culture and classic art traditions, Mollà explores the concept of beauty, celebrating life and nature while reinterpreting classical techniques.

Cartier is marking the 100th anniversary of its iconic Trinity collection with a special pop-up experience in Miami from December 4–8, 2024. The immersive Trinity 100 experience celebrates the rich history of the collection, taking visitors from present day back to 1924, when Louis Cartier designed the first piece of Trinity jewelry. The experience comprises five distinct spaces: A room dedicated to Jean Cocteau — who popularized the collection in the 1930s with his now iconic double-stacked pinky rings, and another to Trinity’s place in pop culture throughout time. A third space pays homage to the number three, a pattern that repeats itself throughout the Maison’s creations. The immersion continues with a showcase of jewelry and objects from the Cartier Collection. After immersing themselves in the world of Trinity, visitors will have the opportunity to try on creations from the collection. Our art academy is located in the northern part of Wynwood near the Midtown mall and near Design District. The parking is street parking on 36 St with the Pay by Phone app or you could park at the Midtown mall and walk two blocks west to find us.

Our knowledable instructors will assist you in creating the artwork. We love teaching !

Experience an extraordinary Art Week 2024 at Mandarin Oriental, Miami from Dec. 4 - 8. The hotel's diverse Art Week experiences include exclusive installations by renowned artists Stefania Nazzal, Shawn Kolodny, and Christopher “Flore” Florentino whose works will be on display throughout the property. To create an immersive experience, MO Bar + Lounge will present three signature cocktails ($24 each), each inspired by the unique works of the featured artists. A live mural activation will take place on Monday, December 2nd to kick off Art Week with Christopher Flore at 4 PM and will be open to the public. At the MICHELIN-recommended La Mar by Gaston Acurio, the vibrant setting will be adorned with inspiring artworks from artists such as Abel Bentin, Manolo Perez and Executive Chef Diego Oka. With Chef Oka being a ceramic artist in his own right, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the newly launched "AMANO by Oka" tasting menu experience. Each of the eight courses is presented on hand-crafted ceramic plates made by Chef Oka himself, merging his culinary and pottery passions. Additionally, a collaboration with Terratela sustainable t-shirts, thoughtfully crafted from repurposed produce waste, will feature a limited-edition design inspired by La Mar. The T-shirts will be available for purchase on-site.

Basel B.A.E (Black Art Experience) is a rare cultural celebration of incredible visual art in various formats; paint, photography, sculpture and fashion. The artists will be present to comment on their work, and pieces will be available for purchase, along with additional items provided by our amazing local vendors.

Basel B.A.E will, of course, feature the dope vibes that Socialxchange Miami is known for, with an amazing musical soundtrack provided by some of today’s most eclectic and versatile DJ’s.

But that’s not all! This event is more than just a concert. It’s an opportunity to celebrate and appreciate the diverse forms of artistic expression within our community. Marvel at the stunning artwork on display, created by local artists, and witness the power of visual storytelling.

This immersive experience will feature interactive murals, oral history QR codes, live music, refreshments, and networking opportunities. A talkback session with artist Stefan Smith and Dr. Dorothy J. Fields, founder of the Black Archives, moderated by Miami MoCAAD co-founder Marilyn Holifield, will follow the screening.

Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club is one of 12 hotels chosen to participate in the fifth edition of “No Vacancy” in collaboration with the City of Miami Beach and the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA) . As part of this program, artist Marielle Plaisir presents “Rhapsody for a Beloved World.” Through a multifaceted and interdisciplinary approach, Plaisir strives to resist harmful histories and offers hope for a better future. She draws attention to the interconnections between humans, the universality of fractured identities, and the power of recognizing and describing inner worlds. Plaisir’s socially engaged works transcend temporal and cultural boundaries, serving as visual meditations on the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity. The color-drenched collage features elaborate compositions of elements, combining intricate botanical images of lush foliage with salvaged vintage black-and-white photographs and elements of landscape paintings.

On Friday, December 6, from 8-11 p.m., The Betsy will host a property-wide Art Week opening event and artist meet-and-greet presented in partnership with the Peter Fetterman Gallery, Edwynn Houk Gallery, the Everglades Foundation, iWitness/Iris Photo Collective and Pérez CreARTE. The event will include a dance performance to the work of Mac Stone and Clyde Butcher featuring the Peter London Global Dance Company, led by Trinidad and Tobago-born choreographer Peter London; this performance will be presented by The Jorge Pérez Family Foundation CreARTE Program, the City of Miami Beach and The Betsy Writer’s Room. Guests can also enjoy live music by The Simon Mogul Quartet featuring Miami-born saxophonist Simon Mogul, a recent college graduate emerging as a leading tenor saxophonist on the world jazz scene, and Curtis Lundy, Miami-born, award-winning double-bass player, composer and arranger known for his work with Betty Carter’s band. Every evening after sunset, from December 1-12, “The Betsy Orb” will light up with projections of “Augmented Visions of the NatureVerse” by [dNASAb]. Amid these projections, The Betsy will also showcase [dNASAb]’s window installations of augmented reality-activated stills from November 14 to January 1. [dNASAb] is a technology artist exploring the intersection of found objects and AI to create visual works focused on the environment. These visualizations have been curated by co-owner Lesley Goldwasser and are presented in partnership with the City of Miami Beach No Vacancy Program, The Jorge Pérez Family Foundation CreARTE Program and The Betsy Writer’s Room. This Miami Art Week, Faena Art is proud to kick off Grand Opening Night with a night to remember! Join us as Fatboy Slim sets the stage where art meets nightlife for an electrifying afterparty in a high energy celebration only found at Faena Miami Beach. Osaka Nikkei , Brickell's hotspot for Japanese-Peruvian Nikkei cuisine, is collaborating with Peruvian artist Jesús Pedraglio, known for his aerial sculptures that explore the relationship between space and form. Pedraglio’s suspended works, which evoke a sense of fluidity and boundless movement, will be displayed in Osaka’s Kero Bar. Complementing the exhibit, Osaka will present a special-edition menu and cocktails, each inspired by the dynamic energy and ethereal nature of Pedraglio’s sculptures.
