Event Description
The final concert of the Symphony's 2018-19 Season at Broward Center features longtime Concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic, Glenn Dicterow (violin) and his wife Karen Dreyfus (winner of the Naumburg Viola Competition, she's performed under Yehudi Menuhin, Rudolf Serkin and jazz great Chick Corea, to name a few). The program includes music of Mendelssohn, Rossini and Mozart. The link below is Mr. Dicterow’s take on Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante, K.364, which will be performed. A favorite of classical music audiences, this piece stands as one of the most unique works in the Mozart catalog for the sheer thematic invention and interplay between the solo instruments and soloists-orchestra dialogue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38M5zpuxB_8
