Event Description
Symphony of the Americas, under the direction of Maestro James Brooks-Bruzzese, is excited to present Orchestra Meets Jazz! at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday Jan. 9, featuring musician/composer Errol Rackipov with his Group, guest conductor Rafael Piccolotto De Lima, vocalist Kate Reid, and world-renowned trumpeter Jason Carder. The program features a mix of traditional jazz, folk influences and Brazilian flair highlighted by “Lullaby of the Moon,” which was specially commissioned to celebrate the 30th season of Symphony of the Americas. In addition, “Bosphorus,” “Todora” and “Passarim” have been arranged for full orchestra with percussion soloists and will be premiered that evening.
