Hypnotic Brass Ensemble aka "Bad Boys Of Jazz" aka "Tha Bros" aka "Yo Favorite Band," is coming to Parker Playhouse! Seven brothers from the south side of Chicago began their musical training at the feet of their father, jazz trumpeter/band leader Kelan Phil Cohran (Earth, Wind & Fire, Chaka Khan, Sun Ra). Taking their stylistic cues from jazz, funk, hip-hop, rock, reggae and soul, HBE has traveled the world with its own unique sound, playing with everyone from Mos Def, De La Soul and Snoop Dogg, and having its song “War” featured in the movie Hunger Games.
