About the Event:
Tour the Miami Beach Bandshell, an iconic example of MiMo (mid-century Miami Modern) architecture. Learn more about this historic amphitheater and get a behind-the-scenes glimpse into what it takes to mount a show by a Latin orchestra.

The Bandshell was designed in 1961 by architect Norman Giller. A leading figure in the MiMo style, his work is now featured on the National Register of Historic Places (an honor also bestowed on the Bandshell in 2022!).

The Miami Beach Bandshell is Miami Beach’s premiere open-air performing arts and cultural events destination. Designed in 1961 by famed modernist architect Norman Giller, the facility retains its unique stylish appeal while offering state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and video production. The Bandshell is a National Register of Historic Places recognized landmark building and is owned by The City of Miami Beach. Since 2015, it has been operated by the Rhythm Foundation.
